As the name suggests, this is perfect for BBQs and will be a great match to any grilled, nay burnt, meat - or indeed a sizzling sausage or two. Whether or not you make that an antelope steak is up to you... 12 months in oak gives it a smoky, spicy earthiness that balances out the rich berry fruit. It's a complex, balanced wine and a great crowd pleaser, both on a summer's day standing around the BBQ (or braai) or in the winter months with a rich venison or beef casserole.
