We have always been charmed by the traditional wines of Tour de By at Taurus. Often referred to making classic Medoc wines this cru bourgeois wine if a classic in its own right.
The 2014 vintage has often been slightly overlooked because 2015 and 2016 were mega years for Bordeaux but the 2014 is drinking very well ten years on. This magnum will have also helped to retain some of the freshness of the vintage meaning that there will be a lovely balance between fresh fruit and good acid but integrated tannins and the beginning of complex characters.
Wonderful black fruits entice one into the glass, blackcurrant and blackberry and a hint of spice and graphite, which we do love to find here at Taurus. A well made Bordeaux at a reasonable price. 'Bon Degustation!'
