This 12 year old dark rum is made by Ron Abuelo of Panama, who have the luxury of growing their own sugarcane. The rum is aged in whiskey barrels, which adds a distinct vanilla sweetness. This 12 year old was launched in 2009, and is elegant, slightly smoky and rich.
Awarded a Gold at the 2009 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition.
