Pinot Noir
75cl * 11.5% ABV * Sussex, England
Bright glorious flavours of blackcurrant leaves leading into a ripe fresh fig flavour with heady notes of dark cherry and white pepper. Light but with medium structured body. An elegant medium bodied wine with a silky texture and good ageing potential, which will allow development of more complex fruit flavours.
Perfectly complements grilled asparagus, pork, duck and rabbit as well as game birds. The light elegance of this wine does not overpower, so a good fit with lighter, less richly flavoured foods, especially Brie. Try it with salami too.
"This is quite simply one of the finest English red wines I have ever tasted." Will Lyons Wine Columnist for The Sunday Times
