The Gimonnet family have been cultivating vines in Champagne since the 18th century. The 28 hectare domaine, was founded in 1935. Jean-Luc Gimonnet, who took over the running of the estate and the winemaking from his father in 1996, patiently ages his Champagnes on lees for a minimum of seven years, to over 20 for select vintages.

This particular cuvée was disgorged in October 2022, after spending 13 years on fine lees.

With an old school approach to minimal intervention wine making, fermentation takes place in very old, wooden barrels - allowing for an expressive style of wine.

As a vintage, 2008 was rated 97/100 by Wine Spectator - scores that have only been matched by 1945 and 1990!

This complex, mineral-driven Blanc de Blancs hails from the heard of the Côte des Blancs. It exudes finesse with its fine mousse and toasty, brioche notes. A wonderful apéritif Champagne which would equally pair well with seafood and shellfish, as well as poultry dishes.
